Bearcat Boulevard Tailgating Policies & Procedures

  1. Bearcat Boulevard will be blocked off the night before a home football game.
  2. Bearcat Boulevard will be open for set-up at least 6 hours prior to evening game times and 4 hours prior to day game times.
  3. Open flames are not allowed in Bearcat Boulevard.
  4. Charcoal grills are allowed but must be extinguished 30 minutes prior to the start of the game.
  5. For safety purposes, all tents, tables, chairs, etc. must be put away prior to entering stadium.
  6. Bearcat Boulevard will be manned by security beginning 6 hours prior to game day to control access to the area.
  7. Tailgating will be limited to the space that is designated. Any group that uses an area beyond their space will be asked to move.
  8. Organizations/persons must sign up for spots via the website, http://www.mckbearcats.com
  9. All beverages must be contained in an unmarked, non-transparent plastic cup. No glass bottles, kegs, etc. are allowed.
  10. Drinking games (included but not limited to beer pong), and the use of devices intended to accelerate the consumption of alcohol (including but not limited to funnels or beer bongs) are prohibited.
  11. Participants in tailgating parties are expected to follow all relevant laws, including not serving alcohol to anyone under 21 years of age, not giving alcoholic beverages to any obviously intoxicated person, and not driving while intoxicated. Any participant who consumes alcoholic beverages at such events must be able to produce a valid driver’s license or other photo ID that reflects the person’s age upon request.
  12. No alcoholic beverages are allowed outside of Bearcat Boulevard.
  13. No food or beverages will be allowed into Leemon Field stadium.
  14. McKendree University will determine if someone needs to leave the area.
  15. McKendree University reserves the right to regulate any amplified music/noise. Music with profanity or lewd lyrics will not be allowed.
  16. Each group is responsible for providing their own equipment (tables, chairs, etc.)
  17. The individual who registered for the reserved tailgate spot is responsible for the actions\behavior of their party.
  18. Commercial advertisements, banners, signs or the distribution of commercial promotional items on university property is prohibited unless otherwise approved by a designated McKendree University official.
  19. Participants will be required to remove promotional banners or signs if asked to do so.
  20. No sale of items are permitted in Bearcat Boulevard by any entity other than those who receive prior approval from the University.
  21. McKendree University reserves the right to revoke the tailgating pass of those who do not comply with these guidelines.
  22. Pets other than “assist animals” are not permitted inside Leemon Field stadium or Bearcat Boulevard.
  23. The Marching Bearcat Band, Cheerleaders and Dance Team will lead the Football Team through Bearcat Boulevard approximately an hour and a half prior to kickoff.
  24. Bearcat Boulevard will close thirty minutes prior to kickoff, and will reopen for one hour following the game.
